Last week my colleague Zebrah L. Jahnke discussed the need to approach marketing in workers’ comp with integrity, transparency, and a deep respect for stakeholders.
Trust is the foundation of any successful partnership. We understand the importance of not just stating, but delivering on brand promises. This not only elevates our brand it also supports our clients’ brands and cultures.
We value the trust people place in us, which is why we strive to project reliable information. We aim to communicate openly and honestly, ensuring that our efforts are aligned with industry goals and needs. By maintaining as much transparency as possible, and regularly measuring against our brand promises, we build positive and long-lasting bonds.
As part of our process, here are a few strategies we implemented in the development of our brand promise to execute and evaluate its performance:
- Set Measurable Goals: To monitor success, establish measurable goals linked to your brand promises. Create Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that align with each statement. Define what demonstrates success for your organization – daily, monthly, quarterly, etc.
- Implement Feedback Loops: Allow feedback to be your compass. Be open and accessible for customers, employees, and partners to provide feedback on their experiences with your brand. Act on this feedback promptly to address any deviations from your promises.
- Regularly Assess Brand Consistency: Ensure your brand is clear, concise and consistently represented across all mediums. The age-old adage for marketing is that people must see something 7 times before it is actually absorbed – the more you represent your brand promises across all your efforts and platforms with consistency, the more recognizable it will become.
- Communicate Openly: Honesty builds trust. Communicate with your stakeholders about the challenges and successes in delivering on your promises. If there are setbacks, acknowledge them, share improvement plans, and update on your progress. No person or organization is perfect, leaning into your strengths and acknowledging shortcomings provides authenticity in your communication.
Maintaining transparency and monitoring the success of brand promise delivery is an ongoing process. It is not achieved overnight – and it is never quite complete. It requires dedication, consistency, and a commitment to continuously align your actions with your stated promises. We committed the better part of a year to this process, and look forward to assessing the success of our travels along this road in the future.
