Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features The American Society of Safety Professionals’ (ASSP) announcement of a second installment of its new workplace safety education series called “Stand Up for Standards.”
The live two-hour webinar on general industry hazards will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. CT Sept. 28, helping occupational safety and health professionals minimize on-the-job risks to prevent injuries, illnesses and fatalities. Safety experts from ASSP’s standards committees will share key insights on four standards, including Safe Practices for Motor Vehicle Operations; Safety Requirements for Entering Confined Spaces; Control of Hazardous Energy Lockout, Tagout and Alternative Methods; and Criteria for Accepted Practices in Safety, Health and Environmental Training, and will conclude with Q&A as well.
In honor of the anniversary of 9/11, please take a moment to remember those lost, and those who gave their lives to save others.
