NARS Promotes Michelle Greene to Head of Workers’ Compensation

September 18, 2023 - WorkCompWire

Lake Mary, FL – North American Risk Services Inc. (NARS) recently announced that it has promoted Michelle Greene to Head of Workers’ Compensation claims. As the leader of the Workers’ Compensation department, Michelle spearheads a group dedicated to prioritizing customer satisfaction and facilitating worker rehabilitation. Her team balances a claims-handling philosophy of enhanced communication, compassion, and advanced technology.

Michelle joined NARS two years ago to rebuild and grow the workers’ compensation department. She has worked to assemble a team committed to getting the injured worker back to work while keeping the customer experience at the forefront. Together with her team, they revised claims-handling guidelines, best practices, and strategic partnerships to align with this claims handling philosophy.

Michelle has worked for over two decades to develop, maintain, and manage a company’s worker’s compensation program. She brings vast experience in various management roles for carriers and third-party administrators. She has claims and loss control experience with large accounts while at Liberty Mutual and various insurance responsibilities as the WC Claims Manager for Pekin Insurance. She was active on the Commercial Market Strategic Committee and Risk Management Working Group for Pekin Insurance Company and the development of Pekin Select Insurance Company.

Throughout her successful career, Michelle has proven to be a catalyst for change by being instrumental in dealing with multi-jurisdiction claims handling with small and large accounts, workflow administration, staffing, organizational restructuring, customer experience, managing change, and servant leadership. She has also developed and overseen nurse triage programs, nurse advocacy, and training programs related to workers’ compensation laws, policies, return to work, loss control, and benefits.

“We are thrilled to watch Michelle bring our growing Workers’ Compensation team to the next level. We’ve experienced some growth in this line of business, and we know Michelle will lead the team to further that growth trajectory and beyond,” stated NARS CEO Robert Ruryk.

“It is an honor to look back and celebrate our team’s growth and accomplishments throughout my time here at NARS. I am excited to continue serving our clients, getting injured workers back to work, to see the great things our department will do, and to watch our team grow,” Michelle said.
