Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features WCRI’s announcement of a new free webinar that will cover findings from its recent FlashReport on inflation in workers’ compensation.
WCRI’s study examined the extent to which recent sizable price growth for all goods and services spread to the health care sector in general and to workers’ compensation in particular. In the webinar the study authors will also discuss trends in workers’ comp medical payments per claim over the past decade and the main drivers of medical cost growth in workers’ comp; whether there is evidence of medical inflation for the major types of workers’ comp providers over the past decade; and the impact of workers’ comp reimbursement regulations on containing growth in workers’ compensation prices and payments.
