Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features NCCI’s release of the first report in a new series that examines the future of workplace safety technology.
NCCI noted that there’s a growing buzz in workers’ compensation that technology, the workplace, and the role of workers are changing more dramatically today and at a faster pace than ever before, along with which come new and changing exposures to worker injuries. This first installment examines the issue from the carrier perspective, as carriers begin testing or discussing new safety technologies, and in some cases, providing them to their customers/policyholders. The new series will continue with perspectives from various stakeholders based on interviews with multiple workers comp insurers, safety technology vendors/suppliers, and insureds.
