Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features NCCI’s recent release of a new report on the results and findings from its latest classification inspections, which are conducted in all NCCI states through its Classification Inspection Program.
The program monitors for accurate and consistent application of the classification system to maintain its overall integrity – inspections of policyholder’s operations help determine whether the governing classification code or other codes identified on the policy reflect the current business operations. This latest release looks at the top 10 governing codes that were reclassified, to provide information about emerging trends identified within the program. Top codes that were reclassified in 2022 included Clerical Office Employees NOC (not otherwise classified); Salespersons or Collectors – Outside; Store-Grocery-Retail; Landscape Gardening and Drivers; and Machine Shop NOC.
