Oakland, CA – The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) recently informed participants in the Independent Medical Review (IMR) and Independent Bill Review (IBR) programs to disregard an email they may have received from Maximus Federal Services, Inc. advising them to register an account with Maximus’ procurement system, Coupa.
Maximus Federal Services, Inc., which administers DWC’s IMR and IBR programs, erroneously sent the solicitation to medical providers and claims administrators on August 22. Maximus extended its sincere apologies for any confusion or inconvenience resulting from this error.
The DWC has overseen the IMR and IBR programs since 2013 and is committed to ensuring the information is used only as appropriate to resolve disputes over medical treatment for injured workers and medical-legal billing.
DIR’s Division of Workers’ Compensation monitors the administration of workers’ compensation claims and provides administrative and judicial services to assist in resolving disputes that arise in connection with claims for workers’ compensation benefits.
