RT Specialty Workers’ Compensation Practice Adds New Specialty Program

May 30, 2023 - WorkCompWire

Chicago, IL – RT Specialty, the wholesale distribution specialty of Ryan Specialty (NYSE: RYAN) recently announced the addition of a new workers’ compensation program for restoration contractors to their portfolio.

This exclusive and limited distribution workers’ compensation program is competitive for all aspects of the restoration industry, including janitorial, dry cleaning, carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning. The program is exclusive to RT Specialty for placements with a premium of up to $100,000 in the following approved states: AL, AR, AZ, DC, CT, CO, FL, GA, IA, IN, IL, ID, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MT, NC, NE, NV, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT and WV. RT Specialty has additional competitive brokerage markets available for the remaining states.

“RT Specialty’s national workers’ compensation practice has added an exclusive program for underserved restoration contractors. Historically, placing risks in this industry has presented many challenges due to mold removal, reconstruction work, and additional exposures typical for the industry. Our exclusive program is available in many (and growing) states to serve your clients,” said Jim Mitchell, Executive Vice President of RT’s national workers’ compensation practice. “We are thrilled to expand our specialty program offerings to include the restoration contractor program, allowing us to add another class of high-hazard industries to our specialized list of carriers.”

In addition, RT Specialty’s national workers’ compensation practice has ten existing specialty programs including Trucking, Healthcare, Restaurants with Delivery, and other hard-to-place classes.
