Liberty Company Insurance Brokers Launches National Complex Workers Compensation Practice

May 16, 2023 - WorkCompWire

Gainesville, FL – The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers (Liberty), a privately held insurance brokerage, recently announced the launch of its newly formed National Complex Workers’ Compensation Practice Group, the first in a series of specialized practice groups the organization will unveil throughout the year.

At the helm, is Liberty Managing Partner and former Brown & Brown (previously the Hays Companies) Executive Vice President/Managing Director of P&C, Kirk Aguilera. As a 30-year industry veteran, Aguilera has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge perfecting every aspect of the workers’ compensation product, from underwriting and analysis to the critical role that actuarial science plays in the field.

“With a keen focus on allocated expenses, payment processes, and the importance of cost containment in driving profits, I’m excited to leverage my skillset and learnings to continue to help clients manage their workers’ compensation programs more effectively and with greater results, ultimately driving better business outcomes,” said Aguilera.

Aguilera and his team have achieved extraordinary results by developing a customized Implementation Work Product that caters to the unique requirements of each client. As an example, their Process produced an impressive 78% claim closure in the year incurred. Moreover, the Work Product has a track record of reducing clients’ Pure Loss Rate by up to 35% in the first year, and despite increased claim frequency, the severity rate decreased by up to half the cost of previously recorded claims.

The team also boasts considerable expertise in catering to middle market clients across various industries, including manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, healthcare, security, and restaurant/hospitality businesses.

“As a company, Liberty is committed to innovation and providing the highest level of value to our clients. With our expanded range of specialized services, we are well-equipped to meet our clients’ ever-evolving needs, positioning us for continued growth and success,” said Bill Jonson, CEO, Chairman and Founder of Liberty. “We’re thrilled to continue delivering cutting-edge solutions that exceed our clients’ expectations and generate favorable results for their organization.”

The formation of Liberty’s National Complex Workers’ Compensation Practice Group marks an important step in the company’s overarching growth strategy and reaffirms the organization’s commitment to deliver personalized solutions that cater to the distinct needs of its clients.
