MEMIC Adds Karen Kyer to Underwriting Team

March 8, 2023 - WorkCompWire

Portland, ME – The MEMIC Group recently announced that it has hired Karen Kyer as a new Senior Production Underwriter in the Mid-Atlantic region.

With more than 20 years of experience helping independent agents write profitable monoline workers’ compensation policies in Virginia and Maryland, Karen specializes in multiple product lines as a trusted adviser to her agency partners.

“By focusing on customer experience, Karen is successful writing business with partner agents annually. She is committed to growing MEMIC Express in the Mid-Atlantic territory by addressing the needs of our agents and policy holders,” MEMIC Group Territory Manager Margaret Templeton said. “We look forward to seeing Karen leverage her many years of experience in the Mid-Atlantic, as we build our book of business there.”

When not at MEMIC, Karen said she’s happy “spending time with her family and black Lab-mix dog, taking road trips, woodworking, crafting, and watching football.”

“Everyone I’ve met at MEMIC has been so welcoming,” she said. “You can feel the close-knit community and collaboration that each business unit brings each day, and the company’s claim management expertise is second to none.”
