February 9, 2023 - WorkCompWire

Tampa, FL – Kids’ Chance of Florida recently announced the appointment of its 2023 Executive Board of Directors.

The new Board will continue to develop and manage the charity as well as execute new strategic vision and leadership.

Executive Board Members:

  • President- Bill Rogner, Shareholder, Hurley Rogner Law
  • Vice President- Kimberly Helwig, Strategy & Risk Management Director, NCCI
  • Treasurer- Tammy Boyd, Executive Advisor, Rehabilitation Advisors
  • Secretary- David Langham, Deputy Chief Judge, State of Florida

“I am humbled to take the reins as president of Kids’ Chance of Florida. I am ever grateful for the support of the Board and our Ambassadors, and particularly in debt to Stacy Hosman, our immediate past president. I look forward to helping more families achieve their educational goals.” Said Kids’ Chance of Florida incoming president, Bill Rogner.

“My goals for the year begin and end with the kids. We need to reach more of them and we need to raise the levels of support provided to our current scholars. I also hope to find qualified candidates for the Board of Directors. We need the vigor and vision that new members can provide.”

Founded in 2015, Kids’ Chance of Florida is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which provides scholarships to educate children of Florida workers who have been killed or seriously injured in work-related accidents, resulting in financial need at the college, university, or vocational level.

Governed by an all-volunteer board, Kids’ Chance of Florida raises funds for scholarships through donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other organizations active in the workers’ compensation industry. Kids’ Chance of Florida believes that we can make a significant difference in the lives of all children affected by a workplace injury by helping them pursue and achieve their educational goals.

To date, Kids’ Chance of Florida has awarded 57 scholarships totaling $248,000 and has a current graduation rate of 100%.
