Select Medical Consolidates Concentra and WORKNET Occ Med Centers in SE PA, South NJ

December 7, 2022 - WorkCompWire

Mechanicsburg, PA – Select Medical recently announced the integration of WORKNET® and Concentra® occupational medicine centers and services in southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. The transition of centers will occur in three phases in December 2022.

“Recognizing the growing demand for consistent delivery of occupational health services, the decision was made to consolidate WORKNET and Concentra in order to have all occupational medicine practices operated and managed by the same Select Medical entity,” said Dr. John Anderson, chief medical officer at Concentra. “We believe this move will enable us to fully leverage the strengths of these two highly respected organizations and provide us with the opportunity to effectively serve the needs of employers and employees in the region with convenient access to high quality care.”

“We’re excited to bring Concentra and WORKNET together,” said Dr. Latha Brubaker, vice president of medical operations at Concentra. “After the transition, Concentra will have 32 centers in Pennsylvania and 24 centers in New Jersey, expanding Concentra’s footprint to nearly 540 centers nationwide.

“Blending our energy and resources will fuel the success of this integration,” continued Brubaker. “And our first order of business will be to ensure all our employer customers continue to experience exceptional service through our ongoing efforts to closely link our health care services to their needs.”

Patients will benefit from a seamless transition and continue to receive prompt treatment from team members they know and trust in a warm, welcoming, and respectful environment. Concentra medical centers feature expansive waiting areas, numerous patient exam rooms, a spacious physical therapy area, and digital X-ray technology to provide a full offering of occupational and urgent care. Telemedicine services are available to treat work injuries and illnesses and complimentary transportation to and from our centers is available for employees’ initial injury care visits.
