ReEmployAbility Sponsors Angels for Change 2nd Annual Champions for Change Gala

September 14, 2022 - WorkCompWire

Brandon, FL – ReEmployAbility recently announced its sponsorship of the 2nd Annual Champions for Change Gala. This charity event will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Armature Works in Tampa, Florida. All proceeds of this event will benefit Angels for Change.

Angels for Changes is a volunteer supported organization whose objective is to end drug shortages through advocacy, awareness, and a resilient supply chain. Founded by Tampa Bay, Florida resident Laura Bray, the organization is unified through Laura’s story. In 2018, Laura’s daughter, Abby, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. During her treatment for the disease, three of the life-saving drugs Abby needed were part of a prolonged global shortage. As a mother, Laura stopped at nothing to give her child a fighting chance at survival and was eventually able to obtain the medication her daughter needed. Since founding Angels for Change, Laura and her team create solutions and build partnerships that will provide equal drug access to patients in need in effort to end all healthcare crises created by drug shortages.

The Champions for Change Gala will bring together friends of Angels for Change throughout the country to learn about, discuss, and recognize the impact the organization has achieved in ending shortages of life-saving drugs and raise funds for future programs. This year’s Gala will also celebrate the 3-year anniversary of Angels for Change.

ReEmployAbility has a strong passion for service to the community and has supported the Champions for Change Gala since its inaugural event in 2021. Service is one of Founder and Chief Executive Officer Debra Livingston’s cornerstone values and central to the company’s success. Through its proprietary return-to-work program, Transition2Work, the company places participants with non-profit organizations while they recover from an injury or disability. This program and its partnership with more than 40,000 non-profit organizations contributes in excess of one million hours of volunteerism to communities across the United States each year.

“Drawing from the critical challenges she faced when her own daughter was unable to get the medication she needed for cancer treatment, Laura Bray has created Angels for Change and a grass-roots movement that helps others who need life-saving medical care,” said Debra Livingston. “I am inspired by Laura’s story and in deep admiration of her dedication to her mission. By founding Angels for Change, she embodies the entrepreneurial spirit that I hold central to my personal values and exemplifies the powerful ripple effect that one person’s positivity can make on the lives of many. It is an honor to once again support this event that makes saving lives possible.”

The 2nd Annual Champions for Change Gala will be held at 7:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Armature Works in Tampa, Florida. At the event there will be dinner, drinks, dancing, entertainment, and a live/silent auction.
