Columbus, OH – The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation’s (BWC) Special Investigations Department recently announced that Roy Love had pleaded guilty to one count of workers’ compensation fraud, a fourth-degree felony.
Love was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $12,128 to the BWC and sentenced to four years of community control.
BWC’s Special Investigations Unit established Roy was employed with three different employers while collecting BWC disability benefits. The investigation found Love worked and received benefits between January 2019 and August 2020.
On August 25, 2022, Roy Love pleaded guilty to one count of workers’ compensation fraud, a fourth-degree felony. Love was sentenced to four years of community control and 11 months prison if community control is violated.
Love was given credit for 6 days of jail time along with restitution in the amount of $12,128.49 to the BWC.
