WorkCompRecap: Trends & Transformation!

August 29, 2022 - WorkCompWire

Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the release of the 2021 Workers’ Compensation Benchmarking Study Report from Rising Medical, which examines deeply entrenched challenges that more than 3,300 claims leaders and frontline professionals have brought to the forefront in past research, and the transformations needed to address them.

The ninth edition of the study drew upon first-person, focus group research for its latest report, with executives sharing real-world strategies organizations are using to overcome the foremost barriers to claims management mastery. The study generated significant guidance that was bucketed into three key areas: surmounting repeatedly ranked top obstacles to achieving desired claims outcomes; moving from tactical to strategic, cultural change in the execution of employee-centric claims models; and operationalizing social determinants of health (SDOH) best practices. As a result, the report also includes three lists of solid recommendations for addressing claims issues across those three key areas.
