Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features NCCI’s release of its 2022 Regulatory and Legislative Trends report, which provides an overview of key legislative, regulatory, and other developments affecting the workers compensation system as of July 31.
Key areas highlighted included COVID-19 workers’ comp presumptions, and those beyond COVID-19, Vaccinations, Mental Injuries, Marijuana Legalization and Reimbursement, Single Payer Health Insurance and the Gig Economy/Independent Contractors, as well as breakdowns by zone for other developments.
This year’s report also introduces a new format, which includes the comprehensive report as a PDF, but also two new, interactive dashboards: The Enacted Legislation Dashboard offers a countrywide view of 2022 enacted workers compensation-related legislation, sortable by state, zone, and topic, while the Loss Cost/Rate Filing Dashboard allows navigation of filed and approved loss cost/rate information based on the 2021-2022 filing season and interaction with workers compensation information in new and insightful ways.
