St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) recently announced that Michelle Doheny has joined its Workers’ Compensation Division. Doheny will be the director of the division’s new Business Technology Office (BTO) work unit.
BTO will manage the business needs, policies and priorities related to the use and ongoing support of key technology systems, including Work Comp Campus. BTO consolidates key business and technology support functions into a single work unit, which will be under Doheny’s leadership.
Doheny comes to DLI from the Department of Human Services (DHS), where she has worked in many roles since 2006. Recently, she led information technology modernization efforts and built connections with business units and vendors to transform how services are delivered to stakeholders. In that role, she established a new business architecture for DHS and chaired several groups within the IT governance structure to improve how IT decisions are made. This recent and relevant experience positions Doheny to hit the ground running in this new leadership position.
Doheny is eager to take on this challenging role and bring her knowledge and experience to DLI. She has a strong connection to DLI’s mission and looks forward to serving the citizens of Minnesota and workers’ compensation stakeholders. She shares her home with her husband, dog and cat. When not at work, she enjoys traveling, scrapbooking, binge-watching TV and spending time with friends and family.
