Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the release of some workforce wellness news, with The Conference Board’s latest workforce survey examining worker sentiment on mental health and more.
Key findings included that the availability of policies and programs to support employee well-being have significantly increased in the last year, but less than half of respondents find them helpful – notably, 88% of organizations offered programs that support emotional well-being (e.g., mental health resources, Employee Assistance Programs), up from 66% in April 2021, but only 29% of respondents found them helpful. The number of respondents who felt their mental health concerns were adequately addressed by their manager also decreased to 38% from 47% in December, and workers also indicated they were less comfortable speaking about their mental health at work compared to a year ago.
