WorkCompRecap: Dashboards & Drugs!

April 18, 2022 - WorkCompWire

Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features NCCI’s release of a new update to its Medical Indicators & Trends Dashboard, which provides an interactive way to visualize medical services provided before and after the spread of the pandemic with early reporting of 2021 data for 39 jurisdictions.

The dashboard also includes an accounting of Q1 through Q3 2021 COVID-19 treated claims, and summarized statistics for several key metrics NCCI has been following to better understand the direct and indirect impacts of COVID-19. Key metrics for tracking include impacts to physician services, time to treatment, telemedicine, prescription drugs, hospital outpatient and ambulatory surgical center visits, COVID-19 treated claim characteristics. The new Q3 2021 edition also includes a newly added active claim volume tab, which allows users to observe state-specific claim volume results since the spread of the pandemic, as well as services provided through Q3 2021.
