Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features ReEmployAbility’s release of the latest edition of its Transition2Work Program Results Summary, which reports on the program’s community impact, performance results, and injured worker outcomes through fiscal year 2021.
The Transition2Work program places injured employees at local nonprofit organizations to perform light duty work when their pre-injury employer cannot accommodate their physical restrictions on-site. Key highlights from this edition included that Transition2Work achieved a 99% placement success rate and secured an appropriate nonprofit assignment in an average of two days. Of the injured employees referred, 55% participated in a nonprofit assignment, and volunteered for an average of 58 days. Overall, 59% of employees referred successfully returned to work with their pre-injury employer, reached Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI), or settled their claim.
