Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features MedRisk’s announcement of a new free webinar that aims to answer questions on the differences between work hardening and work conditioning.
Anne Marciniak, PT, DPT, Team Lead of Clinical Services will cover how an advanced work rehabilitation program facilitates and accelerates return to work, when to request a functional capacity evaluation, and when to deploy work hardening or work conditioning programs. MedRisk notes that during the past 10 years, research has driven a change in the timeline for when to address delayed return to work. Previously 6-12 months, new findings have indicated a window of four weeks to four months, with some data indicating that a disability mindset can set in within one month. The webinar is scheduled for next Tuesday, March 22nd.
