Richmond, VA – During the pandemic, the Virginia Workers’ Comp Commission (VWC) has followed guidance as issued by the Governor and his Team to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and provide for a safe work environment for its Team and visitors. Recently, the Governor issued Executive Directive Number Eighteen (2021), Ensuring a Safe Work Place.
The VWC will follow the Executive Directive, beginning September 1st, ensuring a safe work place for Team Members and customers. VWC will require the following:
Anyone Visiting a VWC Office Location
- All customers visiting any VWC office location will have to pass a security checkpoint, answering questions regarding COVID-19 status, including questions on vaccination status.
- Visitors who show proof of vaccination status will not be required to be masked; if no proof is provided, visitors will be required to wear a mask upon entry.
- Vaccinated visitors may wear masks if they so desire while visiting VWC facilities.
Failure to comply with these regulations will result in not being allowed entry into VWC’s facilities.
If you have any questions about these new regulations, contact the Commission.
