Salus Selects Origami Risk for Insurance Technology to Streamline Claims Administration

July 15, 2021 - WorkCompWire

Nashville, TN – Salus Workers’ Compensation, LLC, a nationwide managing general agent (MGA) and third-party administrator (TPA), has selected Origami Risk’s Insurance Solution Suite for the accelerated implementation of a single platform for claims adjudication, reporting, and delivery of enhanced client services.

“During the past several years, Salus has been aggressively pursuing strategic acquisitions, growing our TPA, MGA and MGU capabilities across the country,” said Liam Barry, chief technology officer, Salus Workers’ Compensation. “To deliver consistently high levels of service, leverage scale and streamline workflows we needed a versatile insurance technology provider that could respond quickly to our need for data consolidation and modernization.

“Origami has proven to be an ideal partner, delivering and implementing a state-of-the art solution within a substantially compressed timeframe,” he added.

Notably, Origami’s robust claims administration solution readily incorporated Salus’ proprietary claims protocol.

Later this year, Salus plans to activate a dedicated portal for customers and policyholders to report claims and gain valuable insight into their loss data – which Barry describes as a “one-stop shop.” Significantly, the modern architecture of Origami’s system readily facilitates the integration of data from a wide range of legacy systems, helping Salus maintain its rapid growth trajectory while sustaining its acquisition model.

“We selected Origami to support Salus’ aggressive growth strategy, drive efficiencies, assist with regulatory compliance, and enable our adjusters to focus on our customers,” said Lisa Zimmerman, vice president of TPA Services at Salus. “Within a short timeframe, Origami met all our immediate needs, including delivering a configuration that supports the data and workflows required by our proprietary Salus Claims Protocol. Going forward, we’re expanding our data capture capabilities in Origami and exploring tools to enhance service and drive efficiencies.”

“Our ability to deliver and implement a state-of-the-art insurance technology solution for Salus on an accelerated basis reflects the experience and commitment of our service team and ability to collaborate effectively with our clients,” said Christopher Bennett, president, Core Solutions division, Origami Risk. “Over the years, we have consistently helped our clients drive efficiencies and improve performance through a steady stream of innovation and by tailoring our tools and functionality to their individual needs.”
