Austin, TX – Texas Mutual Insurance Company recently its first safety summit of 2021.
The Work Safe, Texas Online Summit will take place on Thursday, April 1 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. CT. Industry leaders and subject matter experts will discuss how employers can provide mental health support and resources to their employees as well as best practices for workplace safety as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. Business owners and leaders across Texas are invited to attend. The event is free and open to the public.

The summit will help guide Texas employers on how they can support their employees’ physical and mental well-being, and will highlight how safety is paramount to the success of any business during these unprecedented times.”
The online summit will feature two panel discussions with Texas employers and subject matter experts moderated by Pat Niekamp, founder of Texas CEO Magazine. The first panel will cover mental health and feature:
- Celeste Nevarez, chief of clinical services at Emergence Health Network
- Joy Legan, human resources leader at UFCU
The second panel covering physical workplace health and safety will feature:
- Annie Spilman, state director at NFIB of Texas
- Claudia Monzon, safety manager at Emergence Health Network
- Scott Ramsey, safety coordinator at Armstrong Mechanical Co.
Following the panel discussions, attendees will have the opportunity to ask the panelists questions in a live Q&A session.
