Delray Beach, FL – Tower MSA Partners Chief Compliance Officer Daniel M. Anders, Esq. MSCC, CMSP has been elected president of the National Medicare Secondary Payer Network (MSPN). Formerly the National Alliance of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals (NAMSAP), the non-profit association exclusively addresses the issues and challenges of the Medicare Secondary Payer Statute and its impact on workers’ compensation and liability settlements.
Anders is working closely with the national organization’s Executive Committee to rebrand the organization. “As the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) expanded its MSP enforcement mechanisms, we expanded our mission and recently changed our name,” he said.
Medicare conditional payment recovery, mandatory insurer reporting to Medicare, along with MSA professional administration and settlement structuring now join MSAs at the forefront of MSPN’s education and advocacy initiatives.
“We have formed an excellent relationship with CMS over the past few years,” Anders added. “This connection allows MSPN to raise concerns and provide solutions directly with those who develop and implement MSP policy while learning the agency’s reasoning and viewpoint firsthand.”
Tower MSA Partners has been active in the organization since the company was founded in 2011. Anders has served on its Executive Committee for several years, most recently as vice president and co-chair of the Policy & Legislative Committee. CEO Rita Wilson served as NAMSAP President in 2018, the year the organization solidified its partnership with CMS and launched its MSCC Pre-Certification Educational Course.
“Tower believes in this organization’s mission and strongly supports it,” Wilson said. “Under Dan’s leadership, MSPN will continue to educate and advocate and expand its influence in the MSP industry.”
