Orchid Medical Announces Launch of PT Advance Program

October 7, 2020 - WorkCompWire

Orlando, FL – Orchid Medical recently announced the release of PT Advance™ to further strengthen the company’s physical medicine program.

“Orchid Medical is a high-growth organization committed to service excellence in physical therapy management,” said Paul Taylor, president and chief executive officer of Orchid Medical. “PT Advance combines clinical oversight and utilization management strategies to provide clients with actionable data to help ensure treatment is effective and positive patient outcomes are achieved.”

The enhanced program is built on the collection of critical data at key time points during the life of a case and a system-driven, multi-level process to monitor the utilization of each injured employee for evidence-based plans of care and functional recovery. Utilizing case-specific information and proprietary triggers, the company’s technology platform, OMNI®, assigns a PT Advance™ Report Card according to the rehabilitation needs of the injured employee from the start of therapy.

Throughout treatment, information is collected in the PT Advance Report Card which provides a real-time clinical assessment of the injured employee’s compliance, progress and potential risks that may impact outcomes. Case managers and claims professionals are provided with this actionable data to help access the effectiveness of treatment.

“We apply an integrated care approach of systematically monitoring the injured employee’s ongoing progress with oversight by a team of clinical experts who provide case-specific coaching,” said Taylor. “Our PT Advance Report Card is key to the success we are seeing within our enhanced physical medicine program.”

The company’s physical medicine program offers referral and care management services performed by physical therapy assistants (PTA), registered nurses and ODG-certified staff as well as nationwide access to credentialed therapists who provide exceptional quality in treating workers’ compensation patients. Orchid Medical’s physical medicine services include physical and occupational therapies, telerehabilitation, speech therapy, aquatic therapy, chiropractic care, certified hand therapy, functional capacity evaluations (FCE), work conditioning and work hardening, and post offer employment testing (POST).
