Matt Button Appointed CEO of Davies’ US Claims Solutions

July 23, 2020 - WorkCompWire

Nashville, TN – Davies recently announced that Matt Button has been appointed to the role of CEO for its US Claims Solutions business. Currently Davies’ Global head of M&A, he has been running the Davies US claims operations on an interim basis since October 2019, focusing on driving organic and M&A growth in what is a priority strategic market for the group.

In 2019 Davies announced its first major US claims deals, adding third party administration (“TPA”) and field adjusting capability through the acquisitions of Frontier, the national field claims adjusting services business serving all 50 US states; and ASC, the workers’ compensation, property & casualty TPA, operating nationally.

Button takes up his new role from 1 July 2020, and will relocate from London to Davies’ US headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee. He will continue to report to Davies’ Group CEO, Dan Saulter, and will retain his responsibility for global M&A for the group. Button joined Davies in 2015 from Towergate where he held senior roles in M&A and finance. A Chartered Accountant, he started his career at BDO, working in the UK and in New York.

Earlier this month Davies named Jeff Chang as General Counsel in a move to further strengthen its global leadership team as it continues its expansion and investment in technology & innovation.

Globally Davies has more than 3,700 colleagues, with operating centres across the UK, Ireland, Bermuda, the US and Canada. The business delivers professional services and technology solutions across the risk and insurance value chain, including excellence in claims, underwriting, distribution, regulation, customer experience, human capital, digital transformation & change management.

Dan Saulter, Group CEO said: “I am delighted that Matt will be stepping up to this important role for us, as we increase our efforts and investment to build our Claims Solutions business in the US. I am extremely proud of our track record of creating opportunities for career development within Davies. We have ambitious growth plans for Davies in North America and Matt has a strong team around him to help us deliver on those goals.”

Matt Button added: “Having led the claims business in the US on an interim basis, I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to take on the role permanently. I look forward to continuing to work with the team to create a compelling proposition for our clients and to establish Davies as a leading provider of claims solutions in North America”.
