Chicago, IL – Origami Risk, the industry-leading risk, safety and insurance Software as a Service (SaaS) technology firm, today announced the appointment of Daniel Silverthorn, who serves as the firm’s general counsel, to the additional role of chief administrative officer.

As he takes on expanded leadership responsibilities, Silverthorn will oversee the firm’s legal, human resources, and information security affairs, while also providing strategic insight as a member of the executive management team.
Silverthorn joined Origami Risk as general counsel in 2016, after serving nearly three years in the Legal department at Trustwave, a Chicago-based cybersecurity company, ultimately becoming vice president, Legal and senior managing counsel. He began his legal career in 2008 as a corporate associate with Dechert LLP in New York and later was a corporate associate with Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP in Chicago.
Silverthorn earned a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School, an MBA from Xavier University and a bachelor’s degree in information technology from Central Michigan University.
