Tallahassee, FL – The Department of Financial Services, Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) recently released a report on the effects of COVID-19 on Florida’s Workers’ Compensation System.
Data in this report examines the areas of Claim Frequency, Claim Costs & Characteristics, Coverage Information, and Telemedicine.
Claim Frequency and Claim Costs & Characteristics are workers’ compensation claim measures, while the Coverage Information provides a unique insight on the potential economic impact due to COVID-19.
Telemedicine represents how health care providers and carriers may be adapting in the provision of medical treatment to injured workers.
The DWC will continue to update the report as new data are reported and analyzed.
