Wayne, NJ – Lombardi Associates recently announced that Derrick Amato has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer.
Lombardi Associates is a women-owned national case management firm providing field case management services, vocational assessments/ labor market surveys, crisis management, life care plans and MSAs.

Derrick has over 3 decades of industry expertise previously serving as National Director of Sales for MyAbilities, a healthcare technology start-up focused on injury prevention stakeholder collaboration and accelerating RTW outcomes; President/CEO of Connecticut Occupational Medicine Partners (COMP, LLC ) a multiple hospital system network of Occupational Health clinics; and Vice President Workers’ Compensation Sales and Strategy at Multiplan. He also held transformational roles as National Director – Medical Center of Excellence at the Accident Fund of America, Chief Operations Officer of Clinical Management Services at Coventry Workers Comp Services, President Care Management Services Concentra Integrated Services, and Senior Vice President Field Claim Services, Cambridge Integrated Services Group.
Mr. Amato has written and published a number of industry articles, serves as a founding member of Kids Chance of Rhode Island as Committee Fund Raising Chair, served on the Connecticut WC Medical Advisory Board under former Chairman Mastropietro from 2014-2018, is a former member of the Workers’ Compensation Committee of the Self-Insurance Institute of America ( SIIA ) from 2010-2016, and is an a member of the Workers’ Compensation Committee of the Claims & Litigation Alliance. He is also the proud recipient of the 2015 COMP Laude President’s Honor Roll award.
