Philadelphia, PA – Kids’ Chance of America (KCOA) recently announced that its president-elect is Ken Martino, President of MedRisk. The national nonprofit supports 47 state organizations all of which provide scholarships to children of workers who have been seriously or fatally injured on the job.
Ken has served on the national board for more than 10 years providing consistent counsel and leadership.
He currently serves as both the Chair of the Finance Committee and Chair of the Grant Committee. He assisted in the creation of the emergency grant program which provides funds to state organizations that have faced an unforeseen hardship. He is also spearheading the development of nomination materials for KCOA’s first endowed scholarship fund.
Ken also serves as a key member of the fundraising committee and is responsible for closing a number of KCOA corporate partnerships. These partnerships provide the resources needed to allow KCOA to meet its mission.
“Kids’ Chance has seen tremendous growth over the last several years, and our current strategic plan outlines even more opportunity for this vital organization, ” said Vicki Burkhart, Executive Director of Kids’ Chance of America. “Ken’s years of experience as a board member, committee chair, and member of the Executive leadership team have prepared him for the position of president-elect, and ultimately, president of Kids’ Chance of America.”
