West Palm Beach, FL – The IMCS Group, Integrated Medical Case Solutions, recently announced the addition of COPE with Concussion to their behavioral health portfolio.
For ten years, IMCS has evaluated and treated workplace concussions and post-concussion syndrome, the occurrence of which is on the rise mostly due to motor vehicle accidents, falls and materials hitting the head. Through a combination of evidenced based comprehensive assessment, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and biopsychosocial treatment techniques, IMCS has become an industry leader in the evaluation and treatment of these cases.
The COPE with Concussion will include concussion and post-concussion syndrome evaluation and provide treatment protocols, focusing on psychoeducation, enhanced recovery, and pacing techniques that speed recovery and reduce medical and indemnity costs. COPE with Concussion will enhance IMCS’s other unique programs that help employers or managed healthcare partners find solutions to expedite return-to-function and work, including COPE with Pain, COPE with Trauma, Posttraumatic Stress Disorders, Opioid Dependence and California Stress Claims.
Spearheading this program is IMCS’s Clinical Quality Assurance Advisor and leading COPE with Concussion clinician Dr. Daniel LeGoff, Ph.D., LP. A licensed neuropsychologist with more than 25 years of clinical experience, Dr. LeGoff received his Ph.D. and his master’s degree in clinical psychology from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada, and has expertise in brain injury assessment and rehabilitation.
IMCS serves U.S. workers’ compensation insurance and disability markets in all 50 states with a network of over 1,000 psychologists, psychiatrists and licensed clinical social workers who serve patients and offer a wide-scale telehealth platform. Evidence-based, cost-effective treatment that reduces chronic pain, manages trauma and curbs opioid abuse is offered to patients face-to-face or through telehealth anywhere at any time from the convenience of their own home.
