Shawn Deane Joins Ametros as General Counsel

Wilmington, MA – Ametros recently announced that Shawn Deane, Esq. has joined the company as General Counsel, where he leads the regulatory and compliance legal team.

Most recently Deane served as Vice President of Medicare/Medicaid Compliance and Policy for Verisk/ISO Claims Partners. Prior to that he practiced healthcare law and he has more than 11 years of experience in property and casualty insurance and workers’ compensation law. Deane is active in the National Alliance of Medicare Set Aside Professionals (NAMSAP), having served as chair of the webinar and education committees, on the Board of Directors, and as the organization’s President in 2017. He is a member of the faculty for the Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Professional Program (CMSP).

Deane frequently speaks at industry events and conferences and writes articles and blog posts on compliance in the insurance industry.

A member of the Massachusetts Bar and licensed in both state and federal courts in Massachusetts, he earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Massachusetts School of Law in Andover, Massachusetts. Deane also holds a master’s degree from Cambridge College in Cambridge, Massachusetts and a bachelor’s degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston.
