Featured in the news today is the release of a new report from Pinnacol Assurance that examined the cannabis industry’s most common occupational injury trends, and found it to be relatively safe compared with other cultivation, retail and manufacturing jobs, possibly because the industry is so highly regulated. Key findings from the report included that despite “4/20” events and promotions, April is actually he safest month for cannabis workers, with most claims occuring in November and December. Common injury types included Strains, Cuts, and Falls/slips.
