Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features WCRI’s release of three new state reports that compare outcomes of injured workers in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee with outcomes in 12 other states.
The new report, Comparing Outcomes for Injured Workers, 2017 Interviews, examined outcomes like recovery of physical health and functioning, return to work, earnings recovery, access to medical care, and satisfaction with medical care. Example findings in the report included lower percentages of workers in MN who said they were “very dissatisfied” with their overall care, while PA saw lower percentages of workers who said they had “big problems” getting services. Thirteen percent of TN workers said they did not return to work for at least a month after their injury, which was similar to other study states.
