Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the IAIABC’s recent announcement of the class of winners from its second annual NextGen Awards, which recognize talented individuals under the age of 40 who are making their mark on the industry. This year’s seven winners were selected based on their contributions to their organizations and the workers’ compensation industry.
Recipients will be profiled in the October issue of IAIABC’s Perspectives digital magazine and invited to its 104th convention to participate in a special session called “A Conversation with the NextGen”. In the past the IAIABC has noted a lack of younger talent as an important issue within the workers’ comp community, as the greater insurance industry faces 400,000 open jobs by 2020, and IAIABC jurisdictional members have noted 40-50% of their workforce is eligible for retirement within 5 years.
