Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features Origami Risk’s announcement that is has launched Origami Compliance, a suite of solutions powered by a comprehensive rules engine that provides adjusters with automated access to forms, rates, rules, and regulations to streamline their adjudication process. Also in the news today is the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation’s announcement that it has received the 2019 rate filing from the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI), which proposes a statewide average premium decrease of 13.4%. NCCI noted that the decrease reflects continued significant improvement in loss experience, but also made mention of the potential influence of the Castellanos and Westphal decisions.
