Addison, TX – Concentra recently announced the expansion of Concentra Telerehab beyond California. Now, in addition to accessing Concentra clinicians via telemedicine, injured employees from 11 additional states can schedule virtual physical therapy visits with a Concentra therapist. In addition, Concentra announced a continuation of its state-by-state expansion of its Concentra TelemedTM offering to employers and their employees in the state of New Jersey.
Concentra Telemed and Concentra Telerehab are specifically designed for workers’ compensation. Putting physical therapy for the management of occupational injuries well within reach means injured employees can now be treated more quickly, without traveling, and with less time away from work. These efficiencies not only help curb rising health care costs, but also get employees actively engaged in their recovery and potentially have a positive impact on their productivity.
“As our customers’ business requirements continue to evolve and change, we continue to build out our telemedicine solution to meet their needs,” said Ann Schnure, vice president of Concentra Telemed operations. “Our telemedicine platform provides employers with a comprehensive solution. Like all Concentra telemedicine clinicians, our physical therapists are specially trained in occupational health and possess a deep understanding of the return-to-work process. They are committed to helping to improve the injured employee’s experience and minimizing lost time.”
“In addition,” continued Schnure, ”we are thrilled to extend the reach of Concentra Telemed with our recent expansion to the state of New Jersey. We are planning to add more states in the coming months, continuing our rapid expansion and providing additional access points of care to employers and their employees.”
Concentra Telerehab is only available to patients using the Concentra Telemed platform and is available in any state where Concentra Telemed is offered, currently Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia. Concentra Telemed and Concentra Telerehab will be released together in all future state expansions. Both solutions are built on the company’s strong foundation of 39 years in occupational medicine and workplace health. With a goal of bringing trusted medical care directly to employees via a video connection, injured employees can access Concentra Telemed and Concentra Telerehab anywhere they have access to a video connection on smartphone, tablet, or computer. Concentra continues to explore ways to take full advantage of its virtual health care solution to deliver high patient satisfaction and improved productivity, while limiting costs to the employer.
