Lakewood Ranch, FL – Adva-Net recently announced the appointment of prominent physicians to its Workers’ Compensation Clinical Council, the first of its kind in the pain management industry. Utilizing data accumulated by Adva-Net over the last six years, the Council enhances Adva-Net’s proprietary processes for pain management and high-acuity cases. Through its industry-leading clinical communication program, Adva-Net helps ensure payers, providers and patients benefit from Council recommendations.
Adva-Net improves patient care and outcomes using its proprietary clinical communications. Providers receive recommendations to improve treatment to attain optimal patient outcomes. For patients, the communications result in appropriate and efficient care, which can help them return to normal functioning in a timely manner. Joining the Council are Drs. Randall D. Lea and Steven Wayne Powell:
Dr. Powell is the Chief Medical Officer for MedOptions, the nation’s leading provider of behavioral health services to skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. He also currently works clinically as an Internist and a Psychiatrist, with a focus on addiction medicine. Dr. Powell holds academic appointments at Dartmouth Medical School as an Instructor in Psychiatry and as an Instructor with The Dartmouth Institute. He is board certified in Psychiatry and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and board eligible in Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine. Dr. Powell is also a Certified Physician Executive through the American College of Physician Executives.
Dr. Randall D. Lea is the Vice President of Medical Affairs, Chief Medical Officer and Staff Orthopedist at Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital, a Dartmouth-Hitchcock Affiliate. He is board certified through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians and the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners.
