Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the TDI-DWC’s announcement of the release of the results of its 2017 Health Care Provider Performance Based Oversight (PBO) assessment.
Providers in the state were assessed on their performance in one of three categories, including timely filing the DWC Form-069, Report of Medical Evaluation; completeness of the DWC Form-073, Work Status Report; or documentation supporting why the injured employee was prevented from returning to work as reported on the DWC Form-073, Work Status Report. Key findings included that on timeliness, 94% were in the average or above tiers, with most falling above average; 87% were average or above for completeness, and 80% were in the average or above tier for supporting documentation.
