Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features a Guest Post from Mark Pew of PRIUM (also known as the Rx Professor!), who is recapping and exploring the concepts from an NWCDC session given by Dr. Marcos Iglesias, Chief Medical Officer of Broadspire, on the intersection of medicine and disability.
In the session, Dr. Iglesias presented his perspective on the intersection of these two areas, but attendees may have been surprised to find out that although the terms “impairment” and “disability” are often mistakenly used interchangeably, in Dr. Iglesias’ opinion, they are two completely different concepts.
