St. Louis, MO – Safety National recently announced that it has awarded its annual Safety First Grant to three policyholders for their creative risk control solutions.
The first-place grant, in the amount of $10,000, was awarded to Alliance of Schools for Cooperative Insurance Programs to purchase garbage can assistive lifting devices to alleviate injuries due to heavy lifting while emptying garbage cans into dumpsters.
The second-place grant, in the amount of $5,000, was awarded to Capital Region Educational Service District 113 Workers’ Compensation Trust to install commercial kitchen electric can openers, eliminating potential ergonomic occupational injuries from repetitive can opening.
