Lakewood Ranch, FL – Adva-Net recently announced the expansion of its’ Addiction Recovery Network. Adva-Net, an ancillary network specializing in high-acuity claims, introduced a workers’ compensation focused, addiction recovery network to complement their pain management and post-acute care network service offerings. “With our addiction network growing to over 4,000 providers and locations nationwide, Adva-Net is well positioned to serve our clients and the needs of their injured workers nationwide.” says Adva-Net Chief Sales Officer, Bernie McCabe.
“One of our objectives in designing the Adva-Net addiction recovery program was to address the relatively high recidivism rates associated with traditional addiction management programs.” says Adva-Net Chief Operating Officer, Paul Norkett. “We wanted to go beyond the management of addiction, and concentrate on full recovery through an integrated approach that concurrently treats the addiction, behavioral and physical conditions of injured workers.” Norkett added.
The Adva-Net addiction recovery program offers multiple levels of treatment suited to the needs of the injured worker: Inpatient Hospital, Residential Treatment, Day Treatment, Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient, and Detoxification Programs.
Adva-Net also noted a recent success: Upon receipt, Adva-Net reviewed the referral and accompanying medical notes to determine the appropriate level of care and facility for an injured worker who was addicted to methadone secondary to his back injury 20 years prior. Treatment started with Inpatient care and later transitioned to an outpatient program with a focus on functional restoration. After 4 months of extensive treatment, the injured worker was able to manage his chronic pain without the use of opioids.
