Sarasota, FL – Tropics, an Insurity company specializing in workers’ compensation software solutions, recently announced that Midwest Builders’ Casualty, a provider of workers’ compensation insurance specializing in the commercial construction and manufacturing industries based in Kansas City, Missouri, has gone live on Tropics Breeze in 17 states in nine months. The project included implementing Tropics Breeze’s policy, billing, claims and portal modules, as well as a conversion of 35 years of legacy data.
Last year, Midwest Builders’ Casualty selected Tropics Breeze to replace its legacy core insurance system for workers’ compensation. Tropics Breeze’s modern, flexible technology will deliver a streamlined user experience for Midwest Builders’ Casualty policyholders, agents and internal employees and will facilitate integrations with third-party vendor and regulatory reporting solutions. The insurer also anticipates improved operational efficiency and management reporting.
“In 2016, we decided to make a strategic investment in enhancing our core systems, in order to address the evolving needs of our policyholders, agency partners and internal operations,” said John Crowley, President of Midwest Builders Casualty. “The entire Tropics team has been impressive in meeting our aggressive deadlines and has delivered a state-of-the-art workers’ compensation system with outstanding functionality.”
“Bringing a full policy, billing and claims administration suite into production for 17 states, including a conversion of 35 years of legacy data, is no easy task. The hard work and excellent collaboration between both the Tropics and the Midwest Builders Casualty team members enabled our joint team to accomplish this task in just 9 months. We would like to thank the Midwest Builders’ Casualty team for their partnership and we look forward to playing a part in helping them reach their goals of profitable business expansion,” said Jeremy Williams, COO, Tropics.
