Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features WCRI’s announcement of an upcoming webinar on provider choice in workers’ compensation, sharing its latest research around the question as to whether provider choice should be left to workers or employers.
The research to be presented will be drawn from the recent WCRI report The Effects of Provider Choice Policies on Workers’ Compensation Costs, and is expected to offer nuanced evidence about how provider choice policies are related to workers’ compensation medical and indemnity costs, and will also address whether that relationship is affected by injury types. The 45-minute webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at 2 p.m. ET, and will be hosted by Dr. Bogdan Savych, a public policy analyst at WCRI.
