Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features MedRisk’s recent announcement of a new telemedicine offering with its integration of telerehabilitation into its Platinum Grade Program for managed physical medicine services for injured workers.
The new program uses screening tools and analytics to identify injured workers who are likely to embrace the technology and benefit from a blend of in-clinic physical therapy and telerehabilitation. Solutions include a library of instructional videos and other store-and-forward materials to support patient education, as well as emerging technology like 3D motion tracking that demonstrates the correct way to do an exercise and monitors the patient’s performance, while providing feedback. The remote monitoring technology also captures clinical data on performance, progress and compliance.
