Addison, TX – Concentra recently announced that it has entered into an agreement with One Call Care Management to provide innovative and efficient transportation to connect injured workers to Concentra medical centers in their area. By utilizing One Call’s Relay Transportation solution, a web-based desktop application, Concentra medical centers will be able to request on-demand transportation for injured employees.
Through this new agreement with One Call, Concentra’s transportation solution arranges scheduled and real-time rides to and from nearby Concentra medical centers for injured employees. This innovative platform enables operators at Concentra medical centers across the country to request rides for injured employees who seek treatment from Concentra. This service can be used to transport any employee following an on-the-job injury, at no additional cost.
“This innovative agreement offers a convenient and cost-effective option to employers and their employees, helping to remove access barriers and ensure prompt and trusted medical care from Concentra,” said Concentra Chief Executive Officer Keith Newton. “By utilizing One Call’s Relay Transportation solution, we’re able to provide an added benefit to employers, while also creating efficiencies in our centers and assurances that injured employees will receive the care they need.”
With Concentra centers present in more than 90 markets across the country, more than 177 million employees will be able to access rides to trusted medical care when they need it most. Concentra’s transportation solution includes convenient curbside pick-up and drop-off, an average wait time of less than three minutes, and access to rides 24 hours a day. Rides are provided by well-known and familiar ride-sharing services (e.g., Lyft), as well as One Call’s proprietary transportation network. This network ensures participating drivers are optimally credentialed and insured.
“Our top priority is innovation and the delivery of new and exciting products, that significantly enhance the experience for patients,” said Joseph McCullough, senior vice president of product with One Call. “In addition to unprecedented transparency using real-time visibility into trip status and improved estimated pick-up times, our agreement with Concentra enables us to connect injured patients with trusted medical care faster, safer and more consistently than other more traditional transportation options. This is a key step toward ensuring that injured workers no longer have to worry about missing scheduled medical appointments.”
With more than 20 years’ experience, One Call is the national leader in providing quality transportation in the healthcare industry, providing more than 1 million rides in 2016. As experts in the healthcare transportation industry, One Call is committed to the safety and security of patients. This is evident by its strict quality measures, stringent provider credentialing, and insurance requirements.
Concentra launched its transportation solution in May in select states, with plans for expansion this summer. By combining One Call’s Relay Transportation solution with Concentra’s experience in caring for employees, this new program will further strengthen the companies’ shared mission to improve access and guarantee proper medical care for patients.
