Austin, TX – Texas Mutual Insurance Company recently announced Jeremiah Bentley as the company’s new vice president of marketing and customer engagement. Bentley will oversee the company’s advertising and public relations efforts, community affairs program, online and social media efforts and customer engagement team.
Bentley joined Texas Mutual in 1998 and has served in a variety of roles across the organization. Most recently, he was the senior manager of marketing and community affairs.
“Jeremiah is an excellent addition to the company’s leadership team,” Rich Gergasko, president and chief executive officer, Texas Mutual Insurance Company, said. “He is an ideal ambassador for the company in our community, and in the insurance industry, promoting our efforts to deliver customer-focused products and services and our mission to make Texas a safer place to live and work.”
In 2016, Bentley led a Texas Mutual team in developing Safety in a Box, the first virtual reality tool used for workplace safety in the insurance industry. As a result of this work, Texas Mutual received the Innovation in Action Award from Strategy Meets Action (SMA), a leading strategic advisory services firm, and Bentley was honored with a Comp Laude award from WorkCompCentral, a media company that provides professional news, education and data content for the workers’ compensation industry.
Bentley shares his time and talent with a number of local organizations. He is a board member of the United Way for Greater Austin, a member of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce Special Events and Partnerships Committee, a member of the City of Austin’s Citizen Bond Advisory Task Force and an advisory board member of Emerging Leaders of Insurance in Texas (ELITexas).
Bentley earned his Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Texas at Arlington and is a Certified Professional Marketer.
