Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the IAIABC’s introduction of its “NextGen” initiative, an awards program for those under the age of forty who are making their mark on the industry.
The IAIABC noted the lack of younger talent has been identified as an important issue within the workers’ comp community, as the greater insurance industry as a whole faces 400,000 open jobs by 2020 and IAIABC jurisdictional members note 40-50% of their workforce is eligible for retirement within 5 years. Nominations opened on March 20 and close on May 12, 2017. Recipients will be selected based on their contributions and impact on the workers’ compensation industry, and will be profiled in IAIABC’s Perspectives digital magazine and invited to its 103rd convention.
