Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the announcement from MedRisk that it has developed a series of continuing education courses designed for nurses, adjusters, and rehabilitation and disability specialists.
Courses will cover a variety of treatment and claims management topics surrounding physical medicine and diagnostic imaging. The first 60-minute course, “Faster Return to Work: Work Hardening and Functional Capacity Evaluations” will be presented March 2 at 11 am ET, and will discuss the use of work hardening and reconditioning programs to improve injured employees’ physical and psychosocial functioning and facilitate RTW, as well as how FCEs support safe return-to-work decisions. The free on-line courses will run quarterly, with each webinar offering one contact hour for adjusters, workers’ comp nurses, certified case managers, certified disability management specialists, and certified rehabilitation counselors.
